Richard "Dick” Harris Judd age 77, passed away on Thursday March 18, 2021 at the Hospice House of Union County from complications related to pneumonia. He was born on October 25, 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut to parents Arnold Judd Sr. and Clara Harris Judd; both preceded him in death.

Dick lived in many places, but loved calling Indian Trail, NC home for many years. He served in the US Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Upon his honorable discharge, he began his career with the US Department of Labor in the Mine Safety and Health Administration branch, where he worked for 33 years before retiring. Dick had a love for skiing down the mountain, building sandcastles at the beach, and looking for rocks wherever he went. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 458 and Military Order of the Cooties of the James B. Crump Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2423 in Indian Trail.

A celebration of life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Indian Trail Chapel on Friday, March 26, from 6:00PM-7:00PM.
