 James "Jim" Arnold White, 75, went to Heaven Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020.  A graveside service with military honors is scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Carolina Memorial Park (Fountain Section). Pastor Eddie Graham of Liberty Baptist Church of Mooresville will officiate. The body will lie-in-state from 2 to 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4 and 9 to 10 a.m., at Lady's Funeral Home, prior to the service.

Jim was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Kannapolis. He was the son of the late Aden White and Evelyn White. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked for N.C. National Bank and retired from Wachovia Corporation in 2006.

Jim was a dedicated citizen of Indian Trail, serving on the A.B.C. Board of Indian Trail. He was a member of the Indian Trail VFW Post 2423. Jim was honored with a Proclamation dedicating Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, as James A. White Day in Indian Trail. Jim was a lifetime member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church in Kannapolis.

Jim is survived by two sons, James "Alex" White (Holly) Indian Trail and Jeremy Brian White (Crystal) of Monroe; sister, Joyce Burris of Kannapolis; granddaughter, Abby White of Indian Trail; two grandsons, Zachary White of Indian Trail and Oliver White of Monroe; niece, Sherry Dendy (Tommy) of Kannapolis; nephews, Alan Burris (Lori) and Doug Burris (Amy), all of Kannapolis.
